DISTANCE IS ONLY AN OPPORTUNITY. Poised, confident, persuasive and
impressive are words others use to describe me. Natural empathy, a
gift I inherited from my Mother, draws others to me. My genuine
enthusiasm for life is contagious and compelling. The ability to
communicate openly, honestly and effectively with people of all
ages and walks of life is one of my greatest strengths. Children
say I make them feel good when I listen; my friends say I am
eccentric and caring; my sister says "I'm special" (Ha! Left the
interpretation up to me!) The man on the street in Senegal did not
speak English-I did not speak Wollof, yet he brought out a stool;
offered me hot tea (Lord knows where it came from since we were
sitting outside a canvas tent on a sandy street); we laughed and
talked through pictures in his book, written in French, which I
owned at home in English. I am decisive and am not bogged down when
hurdles surface in a relationship. I like to resolve issues well
the first time and move on. Love being a good friend to the man I
love. Couldn't live without family, friends, laughter...GOD. |
